Chido Obi-Martin: Arsenal Youth Star Joins Manchester United on Scholarship
Manchester United have completed the signing of 16-year-old wonderkid Chido Obi-Martin, who left Arsenal after scoring an impressive 32 goals in 18 games for the club’s youth teams. The Nigerian-Danish forward had become a standout in Arsenal’s academy but opted not to renew his contract, making him one of the most sought-after young talents.
Manchester United managed to secure his signature after receiving approval from the Premier League, and the club sees him as a key part of their long-term plans to bolster their youth ranks.
The Denmark under 18 international player, who can represent Nigeria or England has joined Manchester United on a scholarship deal and will sign professional forms on his 17th birthday which is coming up on November 2024.
Manchester United have decided to pull off a massive transfer coup by bringing Obi-Martin to the club, fending off competition from the likes of Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt, Borussia Dortmund, Monaco and Newcastle United.
