Nigerian Minister Takes Action in Bobrisky Bribery Case

Bobrisky’s Alleged Bribery: Consequences Await Officials

The Nigerian Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has vowed that no official involved in the ongoing Bobrisky bribery scandal will be spared if found guilty.

This came after claims that Bobrisky, a popular social media influencer, allegedly received preferential treatment while serving a prison sentence, with allegations that a bribe of ₦15 million facilitated his stay in a private apartment rather than in a correctional facility.

The minister has ordered a full investigation into the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) to uncover any wrongdoing and ensure that those implicated face legal consequences.

Tunji-Ojo emphasized that the investigation will be thorough and transparent, reaffirming the government’s commitment to rooting out corruption within the NCoS.
