Cosmetic Surgery Complications: Viviane Lira Monte’s Case
A 24-year-old businesswoman, Viviane Lira Monte, tragically passed away after undergoing six cosmetic surgeries in an eight-hour session.
The procedures included breast reduction, buttock fat grafting, and liposuction on her abdomen, arms, back, and neck.
The surgeries took place in Sobral, Brazil, on August 31, and Monte developed severe complications shortly after.
Despite spending 22 days in intensive care, she gave up from heart failure on September 26 due to a massive abdominal infection.
Her family, particularly her husband, has accused the surgeon of negligence, alleging that he encouraged her to undergo multiple surgeries at once and failed to provide proper aftercare.
The Ceará State Department of Public Safety is currently investigating the case
