Kebbi State District Head Abducted: Incident and Aftermath
Tragically, the district head of Kanya in Kebbi State, Alhaji Isah Daya, who had been abducted by bandits alongside several others, has been confirmed dead.
His abduction took place on October 6, 2024, during an attack in the Kanya District of Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area.
While a combined team of security forces, including police, military, and vigilante groups, managed to rescue eight other abductees during a gunfight, the body of Alhaji Isah Daya was discovered in the Sakaba forest.
The Kebbi State Police confirmed his death, and the Commissioner of Police, along with other officials, has expressed condolences to the district head’s family and the community.
