Psychotherapist Accuses Dr. Dre of Unbearable Harassment
Dr. Dre is currently facing a $10 million lawsuit from Dr. Charles Sophy, a psychotherapist who worked as a marriage counselor for Dre and his ex-wife Nicole Young during their contentious divorce.
The lawsuit, filed on October 9, 2024, accuses Dr. Dre of engaging in a “malicious campaign of harassment” against Sophy.
The psychotherapist alleges that after their professional relationship soured, Dre sent threatening messages, including homophobic remarks, and escalated his behavior to the point where Sophy feared for his life, even resorting to wearing a bulletproof vest.
Dre’s legal team, however, has dismissed the claims, arguing that this lawsuit is a retaliatory move after Dre filed a complaint against Sophy for his conduct during the counseling sessions.
The lawsuit seeks both monetary compensation and a restraining order to prevent further harassment from the music mogul.
