Communities in Zamfara Face Demolition Threat for Aiding Bandits
The Zamfara State Government has issued a strong warning to communities suspected of harboring bandits, threatening to demolish villages found to be aiding them.
This comes in the wake of increased attacks by bandits in the region, including the recent killing of nine members of the state’s Community Protection Guards (CPG).
Deputy Governor Malam Mani Mummuni, during a visit to Tsafe Emirate, specifically mentioned the Maikwanugga community, accusing its residents of sheltering bandits before they launched deadly attacks.
The government has emphasized that it will not tolerate any individuals or communities undermining the efforts of security forces, and it remains committed to restoring peace and security in the region.
