Breakthrough in Ekiti: Arrest of Bandits’ Food Supplier
In a significant breakthrough in the fight against banditry, the Ekiti State Amotekun Corps recently arrested Musa Abdulai, a 35-year-old man, for allegedly supplying food to bandits hiding in the Oritan Forest Reserve in Ise/Orun, Ekiti.
Abdulai, originally from Sokoto State but residing in Akure, Ondo State, was caught during a patrol on October 7, 2024.
He confessed to making regular trips to deliver food to the bandits, aiding them in staying hidden. Exhibits recovered at the scene included a sack of food items meant for the criminals.
Abdulai has since been handed over to the Divisional Police Station for further investigation. Authorities believe his arrest will provide valuable intelligence in disrupting the activities of these bandits in the region.
