Arrest of ‘Pussy Mama’: Major Win Against Human Trafficking
A notorious Nigerian human trafficker, known as “Pussy Mama,” who has evaded capture for over a decade, was recently arrested in Ghana.
The suspect, a 38-year-old hermaphrodite, was responsible for trafficking more than 3,000 young girls and boys from Nigeria to several West African countries, including Ghana and Mali, for prostitution.
“Pussy Mama” had been on both Nigerian and Ghanaian police wanted lists for 10 years, largely due to suspicions of using mystical powers to avoid capture.
The trafficker was finally apprehended by a young female officer in Buduburam, Ghana, while attempting to traffic another group of minors.
The arrest marks a significant victory in the fight against human trafficking in the region. The suspect has been remanded in custody and will appear in court again on October 18, 2024.
