Legal Action Threatened by Jigawa Commissioner Over Affair Claims
Auwal Sankara, the Jigawa State Commissioner for Special Duties, has denied allegations of being involved in an illicit affair with a married woman, as claimed by the Kano State Hisbah Board.
Hisbah officials reported that Sankara was arrested in an uncompleted building following a complaint from the woman’s brother-in-law.
Sankara dismissed the accusations as false and politically motivated, stating that he would pursue legal action to protect his reputation from this “malicious” claim.
