Recently, gunmen attacked Nawfia, a community in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, killing five people and injuring several others.
The victims included two local residents and three non-natives.
The attack occurred in the evening when the assailants, armed with AK-47s and shotguns, opened fire on unsuspecting individuals.
The attack has been linked to a suspected cult clash, though local leaders have urged caution, asking authorities to thoroughly investigate before drawing conclusions.
The police have launched a joint patrol in the area to apprehend the perpetrators.
