Former Kwara Officials Face Charges in Corruption Scandal
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has re-arraigned former Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and ex-commissioner Ope Saraki over their alleged involvement in a N5.78 billion fraud.
The case involves charges of misappropriating funds while they were in office. Both defendants have been accused of using state funds for personal benefit during their tenure.
The legal proceedings have been ongoing as part of EFCC’s wider crackdown on corruption involving public officials.
