IPOB Denies Role in Monday and Tuesday Sit-at-Home
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has denied any involvement in the sit-at-home orders for Mondays and Tuesdays in the Southeast region of Nigeria.
In an official statement, IPOB’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful, clarified that the group did not authorize any such directive, labeling the claims as fabrications by mischief-makers.
IPOB emphasized that the only sit-at-home action they recognize is scheduled for October 21, 2024, in solidarity with their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, who is expected to appear in court on that day.
They urged the public to ignore the rumors and explained that anyone observing a sit-at-home on other days does so out of personal choice, not under IPOB’s directive.
