UNILAG Launches 24-Hour Transcript Processing Amid ‘Japa’ Surge

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Professor Folasade Ogunsola, recently highlighted the increased demand for transcripts, driven by the rising “Japa” trend, where many Nigerians are seeking opportunities abroad.

She mentioned that this has significantly impacted the institution’s administrative processes, with more graduates requesting transcripts for international applications.

UNILAG has responded by launching a 24-hour transcript processing platform to accommodate the surge in requests and improve efficiency.
