Muslim Player Receives Apology from FA: Controversy Over Shorts Ban

The Football Association (FA) has apologized to Iqra Ismail, a Muslim women’s footballer, after she was barred from playing in a match for refusing to wear shorts due to her religious beliefs.

Ismail, who has played in the league for five years wearing tracksuit bottoms, stated that the league had increasingly made it difficult for women like her to participate.

Following her complaint, the FA confirmed she can wear tracksuit bottoms in future games.
