Atiku Criticizes Tinubu: Underage Children Targeted in T-Pain’s Controversies
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration regarding the detention of underage protesters associated with the #EndBadGovernance movement.
He highlighted that many of these individuals, including minors, are facing serious charges, including treason, and have been held in custody for extended periods—some for as long as 80 days.
Atiku’s comments come in the wake of a court granting bail of N10 million each to 67 minors involved in the protests, which were part of a broader movement against governmental mismanagement and hardship in Nigeria.
He described the government’s actions as oppressive and expressed concern for the well-being of the detained youths, suggesting that the approach to handling the protests was excessively harsh.
The situation has sparked significant public discourse about the rights of protesters and the treatment of minors within the justice system in Nigeria.
