Could Trump’s 2024 Victory Trigger Civil War? Insights from Ryan Routh
Ryan Routh, accused of attempting an assassination on former U.S. President Donald Trump, has allegedly expressed concerns that Trump’s potential 2024 re-election could incite a “civil war.”
Routh, apprehended near Trump’s Florida golf club on September 15, was discovered with a rifle aimed at Trump, according to prosecutors.
In a letter revealed by federal authorities, he discussed his alleged intentions to stop Trump, citing a fear of political turmoil.
The prosecution argued that Routh’s plans were premeditated and targeted, as he had monitored Trump’s movements around his Florida properties.
Authorities also found a rifle with obliterated serial numbers and protective gear near the scene.
Routh remains in custody pending trial due to flight and safety risks posed by the court.
