Incoming AG Warns NY AG Letitia James: Back Off or Face Jail Time
A Trump ally who has been floated as a potential candidate for U.S. Attorney General has issued a threatening statement directed at New York Attorney General Letitia James.
During a recent appearance, Mike Davis, founder of the Article III Project, warned James to “back off” from interfering with the incoming president’s administration, promising that she would face legal consequences if she continued her actions against Donald Trump.
Davis reportedly used inflammatory language, including telling James, “We will put your fat ass in jail” for what he claimed was her involvement in an unjust campaign against Trump, specifically referring to her high-profile lawsuit targeting him.
This bold and highly provocative remark is fueling further tension between Trump’s supporters and James, who has long been one of the former president’s prominent critics.
The rhetoric from Davis, which some have criticized as inflammatory and inappropriate, reflects the political climate around Trump and his associates, particularly as they prepare for potential legal challenges.
Davis has made clear that his approach would be one of aggression against perceived political adversaries should he assume the role of Attorney General.
