Crackdown in Nasarawa: NAFDAC Seizes N41.2 Million Worth of Fake Wines
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has seized counterfeit wines worth N41.2 million in a raid conducted in Nasarawa State.
The operation targeted an illegal warehouse where fake and substandard alcoholic beverages were being stored and distributed.
NAFDAC officials confiscated large quantities of these counterfeit products, which were not approved for sale in the Nigerian market.
The agency has reiterated its commitment to ensuring consumer safety and combating the distribution of fake goods, which pose serious health risks.
NAFDAC has also warned traders and consumers to be cautious of counterfeit products and has vowed to intensify efforts to clamp down on illegal manufacturing and distribution networks.
