How God’s Intervention Prevented the Naira from Falling to N10,000 per Dollar, Says Pastor Adeboye
Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has stated that without divine intervention, the Nigerian naira could have depreciated to ₦10,000 per U.S. dollar.
Speaking at the Special Holy Ghost Congress in Abuja, Adeboye emphasized the critical role of prayer in stabilizing the currency amid economic challenges.
He attributed Nigeria’s financial struggles to its reliance on fuel imports and the ongoing issue of non-operational refineries.
Despite being an oil-rich nation, Nigeria continues to import petrol, wasting billions on ineffective refineries.
The situation worsened when the president canceled the subsidy on petrol imports, angering those who benefited from it and creating more problems.
Adeboye’s remarks underscore the importance of spiritual intervention in addressing national economic issues.
His statement reflects a broader sentiment among some Nigerian leaders and citizens that prayer and faith play a significant role in overcoming the country’s economic challenges.
