Understanding the Stability in Olumba Olumba: Insights from the Spokesperson
A spokesperson for the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS) has denied reports of a crisis within the religious group following a recent violent incident in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The altercation occurred when some worshippers, rejecting the leadership of Olumba Obu’s son Rowland, destroyed his portrait at a church branch.
The spokesperson, Amah Williams, labeled those responsible as rebels who refused to accept Rowland’s leadership, calling the act a rejection of the “Kingdom of Christ.”
He emphasized that the group’s sacred traditions and reverence for the image of their father, Olumba Olumba Obu, remain intact.
Despite the tensions, the sect continues to hold firm that Olumba Olumba Obu, the founder, remains spiritually present and is revered by followers worldwide.
