Rivers Police Recover AK-47 and Ammunition From Neutralized Kidnapper
The Rivers State Police Command has successfully neutralized a notorious cultist and kidnapper, identified as Samuel Nwokoma, linked to the Blood Star cult group in Port Harcourt.
Acting on credible intelligence, the C4i Strike Force and local vigilantes raided the gang’s hideout in Diobu, leading to his arrest and the recovery of significant weaponry.
The items seized include three AK-47 rifles, an assault rifle, a Beretta pistol, multiple magazines, 274 rounds of live ammunition, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
The operation marked a crucial step in curbing violent crimes in the state, as the suspect was involved in multiple killings and attacks in the area.
Efforts are ongoing to apprehend other gang members who fled during the raid. This action underscores the police’s commitment to enhancing public safety in Rivers State.
