How Wike’s N1.1 Billion Compensation Will Influence Kuje-Airport Road Development

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has approved N1.1 billion in compensation for residents whose properties were affected by the ongoing construction of the Kuje-Airport road project in Abuja.

This includes 13 buildings and several factories marked for demolition.

Wike stated that the compensation is aimed at ensuring the smooth continuation of the road’s development without delays.

The road project, which is a six-lane dual carriageway handled by Arab Contractors, is expected to enhance connectivity and infrastructure in the FCT.

Wike personally inspected the affected structures before approving the compensation to ensure fairness and transparency. He emphasized the urgency of the payment to avoid project delays.
