Alcohol Crackdown: Hisbah Destroys N450,000 Worth of Bottles in Yobe
The Hisbah Board in Yobe State recently destroyed 170 bottles of alcohol worth approximately ₦450,000 in Gashua, Bade Local Government Area.
The destruction followed the arrest of a vendor and a ruling by a Sharia Court that found the individual guilty of contravening the state’s prohibition on alcohol sales.
The Hisbah, an Islamic law enforcement group, carried out the destruction to reinforce its commitment to discouraging alcohol consumption, which it deems contrary to Islamic values and harmful to society.
This action is part of ongoing efforts in the state to uphold moral and religious standards.
