Chuck Zito’s Arrest in New York: Hells Angels Star Faces Legal Challenges
Chuck Zito, a well-known Hells Angels biker and actor, was arrested in New York City after police flagged his vintage 1968 Chevelle SS for having an allegedly forged license plate.
The incident unfolded as Zito drove through The Bronx en route to a Long Island store.
In an Instagram post on Monday, November 25, Zito recounted the ordeal, expressing frustration over what he described as an unnecessary arrest.
He claimed that a female NYPD officer informed him his Florida license plate was illegal, despite him presenting vehicle registration and insurance documents that matched the plate.
Zito was taken to the 45th Precinct in the Throggs Neck neighbourhood, where he was booked, fingerprinted, and photographed.
The biker also said he spent time in a crowded 4×8 holding cell with five other individuals before being moved to another area, where he was handcuffed to a bench for four hours.
Eventually, Zito was released without bail and charged with misdemeanour possession of a forged instrument.
Reflecting on the experience, he described it as “one HELLAVA DAY.”
NYPD sources confirmed parts of Zito’s account, telling TMZ that officers pulled him over after noticing a “dealer plate” on his car. Upon running the plate, they determined it was fake, leading to the arrest.
The incident has drawn attention from fans and the biker community, with Zito maintaining his innocence and questioning the necessity of the arrest.
