Exploring Tinubu’s Decision to Appoint Abiola’s Son as Linguistic SSA
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Jami’u Abiola, a son of the late MKO Abiola, as the Senior Special Assistant on Linguistics and Foreign Matters.
The announcement was made by George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and the appointment took effect on November 14, 2024.
Jami’u Abiola, who previously served as a Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties in the Office of the Vice President, is expected to work closely with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
His role will involve leveraging his expertise to strengthen Nigeria’s global engagements and linguistic strategies.
