How Nigeria Recovered and Handed Over 21 Stolen Cars to Canada
Nigeria has officially handed over 21 stolen cars, valued at approximately N8.1 billion, to the Canadian government.
The cars were seized by Nigerian authorities in a successful operation targeting international car theft rings.
The vehicles, which had been stolen and were being smuggled into Nigeria, were part of a larger scheme to traffic high-end vehicles out of Canada.
This handover represents a significant effort by Nigerian authorities to combat international crime and return stolen property to its rightful owners.
The Canadian government expressed gratitude for Nigeria’s cooperation in this operation, which is seen as a key step in strengthening both countries’ fight against transnational crime, particularly in relation to stolen vehicles and other illicit trade.
