Kano Residents Duped by Fake Alerts at Islamic Remembrance Event
In Kano, a man was arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly duping residents during a remembrance event for a renowned Islamic scholar.
The suspect reportedly used fake bank alerts to deceive attendees into donating money. This fraudulent activity was exposed following complaints from victims who realized the scam.
The NSCDC has confirmed the arrest and stated that investigations are ongoing.
