Beyond the Streets: Osinbajo’s Take on Protests and Change
Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo recently highlighted that protests alone are insufficient for achieving meaningful change in Nigeria.
Speaking at the launch of the book It is Possible: Influencing Change in Nigeria in Abuja, he emphasized the importance of collective action and collaboration among various stakeholders, including civil society, government, and the media.
Osinbajo argued that systemic reforms and accountability are essential to addressing Nigeria’s challenges and advancing the common good.
He also stressed the need for Nigerians to take proactive steps toward positive transformation rather than relying solely on demonstrations.
Additionally, Osinbajo called for building partnerships across diverse groups to overcome identity-based politics and create a unified approach to national development.
He maintained that fostering hope and pursuing integrity and transparency are crucial for Nigeria’s progress.
