Legal Battle: Court Dismisses Bobrisky’s Suit Against EFCC
The Federal High Court in Lagos has dismissed Bobrisky’s ₦200 million fundamental rights lawsuit against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Justice Alexander Owoeye ruled that Bobrisky, whose legal name is Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, failed to provide credible evidence to substantiate his claims of rights violations.
Bobrisky had accused the EFCC of harassment, arrest, and detention, seeking compensation and a perpetual injunction to prevent further actions against him.
The court concluded that the claims lacked merit and refused to award damages or grant any reliefs sought by Bobrisky, including his appeal to restrain the EFCC and the National Assembly from future actions against him.
