CHAN 2025Q Preview: Austin Eguavoen’s 30-Man Squad Announcement for Ghana Match
Coach Austin Eguavoen has invited 35 players for the Super Eagles B squad to face Ghana in the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.
This critical encounter will take place across two legs, with the first leg scheduled for December 20-22, 2024, and the return leg a week later.
The squad features talents from Nigeria’s domestic league, with players like Samuel Ayorinde (Shooting Stars), Innocent Godwin (Abia Warriors), and Wisdom Ndom (Akwa United) among those called up.
Eguavoen has expressed confidence in the team’s quality, emphasizing the technical skills shown in initial training sessions.
The team aims to secure Nigeria’s qualification for the CHAN finals, a tournament exclusively for home-based players, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Morocco, and Tanzania in February 2025.
