Nasarawa Violence: Ex-Rep Member Kidnapped, Police Escort Killed by Bandits
Former House of Representatives member, Dr. Joseph Haruna Kigbu, was abducted by suspected bandits in Nasarawa State on December 2, 2024.
The attack occurred between Nunku in Akwanga LGA and Gwantu in Kaduna State. During the incident, his police escort was killed while attempting to resist the attackers.
This area has been noted for repeated security challenges, and residents are urging for increased protection measures. The police are yet to issue a formal statement on the incident.
