Acting on a tip-off, the agency’s enforcement team discovered a shop repurposed as a hub for producing and packaging counterfeit alcoholic beverages.
Items seized during the operation included various fake drinks, empty bottles, and packaging materials, with the total value of the confiscated goods exceeding ₦30 million.
This raid is part of NAFDAC’s ongoing crackdown on counterfeit alcohol, which poses significant health risks to the public.
The agency is urging consumers to only buy from reputable sources and to report any suspicious activities.
