Police Foil Kidnap Kingpin’s Deadly Plans in Rivers State: A Full Report
The Rivers State Police Command has neutralized a notorious kidnap kingpin, Nkem ThankGod, also known as “2man,” during an intelligence-led operation in Ahoada West Local Government Area.
He was the leader of the Greenlander Cult Group and had been linked to numerous heinous crimes, including the murder of four police officers, two Shell staff, and a youth leader, alongside several kidnapping and ransom-related killings.
The operation, which occurred while he was attempting another kidnapping, led to his death after a gunfight.
His gang members escaped with injuries, and police are working to apprehend them. Items recovered from the scene included two AK-47 rifles, magazines, and ammunition.
The Rivers State Police Commissioner reiterated the command’s commitment to maintaining law and order while appealing for public cooperation in providing information on suspicious activities.
