Judy Garland’s Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers Sells for $28M: A Historic Auction Event
A pair of ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz has been sold for $28 million at auction, nearly two decades after they were stolen from the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
The slippers were recovered in 2018, and following a world tour to promote the auction, they fetched the record-breaking price in December 2024.
The sale marks a historic moment for the iconic Hollywood memorabilia.
