Amid Deportation Controversy, Pastor Tobi Advocates for Nigerian Priorities
Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, a UK-based Nigerian pastor and founder of the now-defunct SPAC Nation church, is at the center of controversy following claims of financial misconduct involving £1.87 million.
A recent UK tribunal ruling authorized his deportation, citing concerns over the church’s financial mismanagement and allegations from former members about coercion into fraudulent activities.
These allegations included claims of church members being pressured to take loans, commit benefit fraud, and even sell their blood to meet financial targets.
Despite these claims, Adegboyega’s lawyer has strongly denied the reports of deportation, describing them as false and sensational.
The lawyer emphasized that Adegboyega, who has lived in the UK for over 20 years without criminal conviction, is not facing deportation, asserting that deportation is a measure for criminals, which Adegboyega is not.
In the face of public mockery, Adegboyega has expressed frustration, stating that Nigerians need rice, not answers, in response to the mockery surrounding his deportation case.
