Arrest Made at McDonald’s in Connection with UnitedHealthcare CEO’s Shooting
Luigi Mangione, a person of interest in the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, was arrested in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
He was caught at a McDonald’s, recognized by a patron who had seen his image in police alerts. Mangione was found with a firearm, believed to be a “ghost gun,” and fake IDs.
Police are investigating his connection to the targeted shooting outside a Manhattan hotel. The arrest involved collaboration between local police, the FBI, and the NYPD.
