Watch: Edo Governor Monday Okpebholor Struggles with 2025 Budget Announcement
Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, recently struggled to pronounce the budget figure for the state’s 2025 fiscal year while presenting it at the Edo State House of Assembly.
The budget, titled the “Budget of Renewed Hope for a Rising Edo,” is valued at N605 billion.
Despite the stuttering moment, Governor Okpebholo continued his presentation, highlighting that 37% of the budget will go to recurrent expenditure and 63% to capital projects, focusing on his administration’s priorities, including security, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and food sufficiency.
