Daring Gunfight: How Police Saved 36 Hostages from Kebbi Bandits
The Kebbi State Police Command, alongside the Army and local vigilante groups, successfully rescued 36 kidnapped victims after engaging in a gunfight with bandits on the Mairairai/Bena road in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area.
The victims, who were returning from their farms, were abducted on December 8, 2024. The rescue operation left no casualties among the victims, who have since been reunited with their families.
The police commissioner, Bello Sani, commended the security team’s bravery and professionalism. He also urged continued synergy among security agencies to combat criminal activities in the region effectively.
