Landmark Victory: FG Secures Convictions Against 325 Terrorists
The Federal Government of Nigeria has successfully secured convictions against 325 individuals linked to terrorism in various capacities.
This includes members of Boko Haram and financiers involved in terrorism-related activities. The mass trials took place under the supervision of the Attorney-General of the Federation, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, and were conducted at the Federal High Court in Niger State.
Over two days, judges presided over cases concerning terrorism, financing, and related International Criminal Court crimes.
Out of those convicted, 125 individuals received various sentences, while others have been directed for rehabilitation and deradicalization under Operation Safe Corridor in Gombe State.
The process also included participation from the Nigerian Bar Association, the National Human Rights Commission, and international observers.
