Three Arrested: NDLEA Intercepts Meth and Loud Shipments from Canada
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted shipments of methamphetamine and “Loud” (a potent strain of cannabis) concealed in automobile spare parts imported from Canada at the Tincan Seaport in Lagos.
This operation followed months of intelligence tracking across three continents. The seized methamphetamine weighed a combined 83.3 kg and was valued at approximately ₦124.9 million, while the Loud shipment, weighing 867.5 kg, was worth over ₦2.1 billion.
Two businessmen, Nwanolue Emeka and Friday Ogbe, were arrested in connection with the shipments, which were intended for distribution during the festive season.
The drugs were destined for warehouses in the Mushin area of Lagos before being intercepted.
