Al-Sharaa Admits Exhaustion in Syria’s Struggle Against Israel After Air Defenses Destroyed
Syrian rebel leader Ahmed al-Sharaa, who led the coalition that recently toppled Bashar al-Assad’s regime, stated that Syria is “too exhausted” to engage in conflict with Israel.
This comes after Israel reportedly destroyed all Syrian air defenses in response to increased tensions following the regime’s fall.
Al-Sharaa, who leads the Islamist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, has emphasized the nation’s depleted state after years of conflict and expressed a focus on internal stability rather than external confrontations.
