Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian dictator, reportedly fled his country with the assistance of Russian intelligence agents.

According to sources, Assad was airlifted from Syria in a Russian military plane, with the aircraft’s transponder turned off to avoid detection, and flown to Moscow.

Despite Assad’s departure, Russia continues to maintain strong ties with the Assad family, who have found refuge and a luxurious lifestyle in Moscow.
