Ogun Crime Update: Police Nab Suspected Cultists and Find Human Remains
In Ogun State, Nigeria, two individuals, Oladeyo Idowu and Monday Ogunniyi, have been arrested for allegedly engaging in ritualistic activities involving human remains.
The arrest followed a report by Idowu concerning the abduction of Regina Oladeyo by Ogunniyi. Upon investigation, Ogunniyi confessed to the abduction and revealed that both he and Idowu were involved in rituals using human remains.
Subsequently, authorities discovered a decomposed human skeleton near a river in the Afige area of Oja Odan, confirming the ritualistic activities.
This incident highlights the ongoing challenges posed by ritualistic crimes in the region. The Ogun State Police Command has expressed its commitment to thoroughly investigating the case and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
The case has been forwarded to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further action.
