- Cause: Preliminary investigations by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) indicate that the truck was traveling at excessive speed when it suffered brake failure, leading to a loss of control.
- Victim: An unidentified female pedestrian, who was walking along the roadside when the out-of-control vehicle veered off its path and struck her, resulting in her immediate death.
