Zamfara Crackdown: Man Arrested for Fake $7,000 Scheme
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Zamfara State has apprehended a suspect, Mohammed Dauda Ismail, for possession of counterfeit currency totaling $7,000.
The arrest followed a report by Alkasim Kabir, who alleged that his Mercedes-Benz C300 and mobile phones were stolen.
Investigations led to Ismail’s arrest in Gusau, where the stolen vehicle and counterfeit currency were recovered.
Ismail confessed to obtaining the items deceitfully, and further investigations are ongoing to recover additional stolen property.
