Understanding the Nigerian National League’s Ban on Warri Wolves’ Stadium
The Nigeria National League (NNL) has prohibited Warri Wolves from hosting league matches at their home venue, the Sapele Township Stadium, due to its deteriorating condition.
As a result, Warri Wolves are now required to play their home fixtures at the Ozoro Township Stadium.
This decision underscores the NNL’s commitment to ensuring that all league matches are conducted in facilities that meet the required standards for safety and quality.
Warri Wolves, who narrowly missed promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League last season, have accumulated four points from their last two matches. Their upcoming league game is against Igbajo United.
