Lost 8-Year-Old Boy in Anambra: How Public Can Aid NSCDC’s Efforts

The Anambra State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) is seeking public assistance to locate the family of an eight-year-old boy named Divine Chisimdi Onyejiaka.

The child was found wandering in Awka after allegedly fleeing his home in Okpoko, Ogbaru Local Government Area, to avoid discipline from his mother.

Divine, a pupil of St. Raphael Nursery/Primary School in Okpoko, was brought to the NSCDC Command Headquarters in Awka on December 20, 2024, by a concerned individual.

Despite efforts, authorities have been unable to locate his parents or relatives. The boy is currently under the protective care of the NSCDC’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit.

The NSCDC has provided contact information for anyone with information about Divine’s family:

  • Head, Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, NSCDC Anambra State Command
  • Head, Media and Tactical Ops, NSCDC Anambra State Command
  • Phone Number: 08035771835

The command urges the public to assist in reuniting Divine with his family.
