Zamfara Security Update: Female Courier for Bello Turji Detained by Forces
In a significant operation, Nigerian troops have apprehended a 25-year-old woman, Shamsiyya Ahadu, suspected of serving as an ammunition courier for notorious terrorist leader Bello Turji.
Ms. Ahadu was arrested on December 28, 2024, in the Badarawa area of Shinkafi Local Government Area, Zamfara State, alongside her accomplice, a motorcyclist named Ahmed Husaini.
The duo was intercepted following intelligence reports about the movement of terrorist logistics between Kware and Badarawa communities.
Upon their arrest, authorities discovered 764 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition and six magazines intended for delivery to Bello Turji’s camp. Both suspects are currently undergoing investigation by appropriate authorities.
This operation underscores the Nigerian military’s commitment to dismantling terrorist networks and preventing the illegal movement of arms and ammunition within the region.
