Liam Payne’s Death in Argentina: Five Individuals Face Charges
Five individuals have been charged in connection with the death of former One Direction member Liam Payne, who passed away on October 16, 2024, after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Among those charged is Rogelio “Roger” Nores, a businessman and friend of Payne, accused of negligent homicide. Nores reportedly left the hotel approximately an hour before Payne’s fatal fall and has been prohibited from leaving Argentina pending further legal proceedings.
Additionally, hotel employees Braian Paiz and Ezequiel Pereyra face charges related to the supply of narcotics, while hotel managers Gilda Martín and Esteban Grassi have been charged with manslaughter.
These charges stem from allegations that Paiz and Pereyra provided drugs to Payne during his stay, and that Martín and Grassi failed to ensure adequate safety measures at the hotel.
Toxicology reports revealed that Payne had alcohol, cocaine, and prescribed antidepressants in his system at the time of his death.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death is ongoing, with Argentine authorities continuing to examine the roles of the accused individuals.
