Nigerian Prank Gone Wrong: DeeOne to Petition IG of Police Over 180m Hoax

Comedian and former Big Brother Naija star, DeeOne, has criticized social critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) over a prank involving a purportedly missing ₦180 million.

VDM initially claimed that ₦180 million had been stolen from his NGO’s account, causing public concern. He later revealed that the claim was a prank intended to teach Nigerians a lesson.

In response, DeeOne expressed his disapproval, highlighting that 14 Nigerians were arrested in connection with the alleged missing funds.

He questioned the rationale behind such a prank, considering the distress it caused among the public and the impact on the implicated bank. DeeOne stated his intention to petition the Inspector General of Police regarding the matter.
